Set of American Coin Silver ‘Tipped Fiddle’ Pattern Flatware, Harris & Stanwood, Boston, Massachusetts, 1839-41, comprising 1 soup ladle, 1 tablespoon, 2 teaspoons and 3 salt spoons, each engraved with the script initial “J” on the handle reverse, each marked HARRIS & STANWOOD. Length of ladle 12 ½ inches. Together with a set of six coin silver ‘Tipped Fiddle’ pattern teaspoons, Towle Silversmiths, Newburyport, Massachusetts, Retailed by H. Cole, engraved with the initials "M.A.F." on the handle reverse, factory mark, STERLING and H. COLE; and a coin silver sugar sifter, Henry Cogswell, Salem, Massachusetts, circa 1846, engraved with the script initial "J" on the handle front, marked COGSWELL. into a rectangle, and PURE COIN incuse. 15 oz.
