Two c. 1912 National flags of woolen bunting, each 2 x 10 feet and bearing 48 stars in the canton (in almost-new condition), along with a grouping of 10 naval signal flags or pennants (worn), all circa 1898. The latter formerly in the possession of Commander Horace Elmer (1846-1898) of the U. S. Navy when he died in New York. Provenance: by descent in the Elmer family to noted maritime collector Welles Henderson; acquired from Henderson Collection in 2008.
