Mixed media sculpture, signed by artist. 30 1/4 x 20 1/4 inches, 3 inches deep.Ajay gained recognition beginning in the 1960s. His work is in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in Manhattan and the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington. He was represented by Babcock Galleries in Manhattan. We also have the exhibit poster for the Ajay show from the Ogunquit Museum of Modern Art featuring the sculpture (1991).
