Used to provoke the presence of the Ishan God. Length 30 inches. Located in the southwestern Ivory Coast in the region tracing the border with Liberia, the kronu made spectacular masks with flat face,domed forehead and tubular, often polychrome eyes. The best known of this mask, kept at the Musee de I'Homme. Has a pre cubist design, and inspired Picasso's Guitar (1913) sculpture in which the volumes reversed with its six rows of eyes, this mask was obtained from the Oubi a section of the Bakwe group living in Tai region.
