For rain making rituals. Height 56 inches. Some losses to mouth.
These tall statues are for economic purposes, the rhythm pounding statue, called deble, stands without feet, on a circular base, which was part of a long pole used to pound the earth, providing the rhythm for a dance in Lo society. Implement was also used to invoke the spirits of the ancestors. Especially at the agricultural ceremonies.
