Circa 1659, sheet 12 x 7.5 inches. A sea captain, Cutting made 13 or more Atlantic crossings; in 1634 he was master of the Francis, which brought colonists from Ipswich. In 1636 he took up land at Watertown, in 1638 had a house at Newbury, in 1648 settled at Charlestown, and by 1656 was again living at Newbury. He was in 1647 master of the Advent of Boston.
