Ash/maple fan-backed side chair. Fan backed. Rear stiles turned with long vase-shaped swells and angular rings. Seven plain turned spindles tapering to bowed and shaped crest with deeply cut ears. Each ear has carved star on front. Well-shaped saddle seat with decorative incised grove around spindles. Splayed legs with similar turnings as stiles, taper near feet. H-shaped stretchers with large central swell. Medial stretcher has two knobbed ends. Honey-yellow finish. Seat height 19 inches, overall height 37 inches.
