This bible was owned by Nathaniel Nelson. nelson was a Portsmouth NH sailmaker at the pier buildings. the book is inscribed in the front with "Nathaniel Nelson’s Bible 1827 February the 21". Nelson was second to last person to be buried at The Famous Portsmouth NHs Point of Graves. the bible itself was printed by Holbrook & Fessenden of Brattleboro VT in 1825. needs new leather as the current leather is falling off. interior is fair condition.
