(Massachusetts/Kansas 1892-1964), Garden, pencil signed l.r. and titled l.l., image 5 x 4 inches. With Providence Art Club label on back with original price of $10. Viola Helen Anderson was an Arts & Crafts era painter and block printer. Born in South Dakota, she lived in Massachusetts and exhibited at the Providence Art Club c. 1915. She traveled to France where she studied art at the Fontainebleau School of Fine Art, She later moved to Kansas where she was head of the Washburn University Art Department in the 1920’s.
