Carved with dove, crosses, leaves and drapes, 15 x 5.5 x 10 inches. Charles Edward Parker (1826-1890) was a Boston architect who designed the Easthampton Town Hall and the Chicopee City Hall, as well as numerous churches. He was the chaplain for the 2nd New Hampshire Regiment during the civil war, which is likely when this box was made.
