Nineteenth or early twentieth century. Of waisted ribbed form, painted in underglaze-blue and over-glaze enamels with a parrot in flight between a phoenix perched on a moss-covered curious rock in water and grasses, and a tall peony branch and stems, above a ruyi-head border and beneath lambrequin panels of chrysanthemums and scrolls, painted in blue with a butterfly over 223/ J., and 16. Height 11 1/2 inches, repaired crack at rim.
