Lot 89:
A pair of breeches that are sailor-made from old hempen sailcloth and also appear to have been altered into its current configuration from a front fly opening, to an opening on the left inseam, the waistband and fly now sewn shut. The are pockets set into the outseams below the waistband on each side, with an addition cross pocket set under the right waistband, its opening secured by an oblong flap with four worked holes and securted by silver-washed, cast-brass buttons. Worked grommets are set at the bottom of the inseams, to close a short slit. The pocket bags are made of the same plainweave, hempen sailcloth.
