UNIFORMS OF THE WELSH GUARDS, 1915-1975. Eric J. Collings, editor and Charles G. Stadden, artist. Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. STADDEN Charles C (illustrator). Limited Edition. An oblong album, 12 ¼ x 16 inches, title and regimental device in gilt to upper cover, no title to spine. Internally, containing introduction, being a facsimile of a letter by Prince Charles (Colonel of the Regiment) and 12 colored plates, each signed and numbered to verso, each accompanied by a separate sheet describing the unit’s history and uniforms at various times. Each color plate features at least 5 figures wearing different uniforms, for various ranks. An edition limited to just 500 copies, of which this is number 215. The Welsh Guards were formed on 26 February 1915 by Royal Warrant of King George V. Uncommon. Both the editor and artist had served in the British military.
