A circa 1850s, illustrated, two-sided, trade card for “THE NEW American Button-Hole MACHINE” as sold by the AMERICAN SEWING MACHINE at 189 Canal Street, New Orleans. [with] A piece of green wool, upon which a small collection of labeled types of threadwork or “Dorset” buttons are mounted, including 18th century English originals. With labeled box in which they were kept.
