A well-tailored and crafted reproduction uniform of the famous 1st Hussars, one of Napoleon’s crack light cavalry regiments. It consists of a heavily braided hussar jacket or dolman, pale blue faced scarlet, along with a matching pair of pantaloons of blue, both garments with white trimmings and ball buttons. A white leather saber-belt, from which is suspended a sabretache of the regiment, bearing a Napoleonic eage over N in white metal, over the regimental number embroidered in white, flanked by a spray of two branches with gold and green embroidered leaves, all on a scarlet ground. An associated barrel sash of red, pale blue and white also conveys.
