An imposing variety of masks were used in the Grasslands by masking societies controlled by chiefs or important family heads. Some masks represent human faces and others have combination of human and animals features. The dynamic forms of this buffalo head offers a massive economic power of manifestation and analogous to strength, on this buffalo headdress, white pigments emphasize large curved horns, the ears, eyes, flaring nostrils, and open mouth.
