Ekpo society, Igbo, Ngwa region. Mask of this kind are attached to a large frame making the spirit mask appear about 10-20 feet tall, built to a bamboo frame that is covered with raffia and fabrics. The mask is usually owned by a group or a town. The evoked mysteries and rituals necessary to create and establish natural laws and wisdom.
