A similar inkwell was presented to Theodore Roosevelt in 1899 by the members of the Hamilton Club of Chicago, after he spoke to the club on the “Strenuous Life”. He kept it on his desk in the library at Sagamore Hill. Made by L. Meyer Unuior & Co Foundry, width 9 inches.
