Lot 341:
(Connecticut 1827-1903), most likely a view of a Florida forest with a tree draped with Spanish moss, oil on canvas, 12 x 15 inches, signed “M. W. Bidwell” and dated 1884 lower left, unframed, flaking paint, canvas split at top edge of stretcher. Mary Bidwell was a painter, sculptor, and botanical collector from Hartford, Connecticut. She traveled to Florida and the Bahamas in the early 1880’s.
