Maple side chair Incorporates both Queen Anne and William & Mary characteristics. Yoke-shaped crest with canted back vase splat. High molded seat rail. Serpentine back continues to square rear legs. Block and vase turned front legs. Four legs with high button feet. Turned front stretcher with two heavy central balls and ring, with thimble-shaped ends. Side and rear stretchers square. Front seat rail extends over front legs and seat. Rush seat. Later black paint. Seat height 16 inches, overall height 40.5 inches.
