A monumental oil painting of the May 3, 1908 fire at the Aveline Hotel in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Believed to be the work of Elmer Stewart, who was active in Indiana at the time. Oil on canvas, 32.5 x 47.5 inches. In a contemporary frame with gilt liner, 40.5 x 55.5 inches. Relined.
