Andrew Davis, photographer at Northeast Auctions for the past fifteen years, is now a licensed auctioneer, and is pleased to announce the creation of Casco Bay Auctions, based in Freeport, Maine. With the closing of Northeast Auctions, coinciding with the shuttering of several other mid-sized regional auction houses, he believes there is space in the market place for a regional auction house focusing on quality and service. At 35 years old, Andrew is a member of the much written about millennial generation that “doesn’t want antiques.” While he recognizes the challenges facing the antiques industry writ large, he is optimistic about the future of the business, and is committed to attracting young collectors to the marketplace.

Casco Bay Auctions’ sales will be held on the lower level of Freeport Antiques & Heirlooms Showcase, a group shop on Freeport’s Main Street. Bidding will also be offered online with Liveauctioneers and Invaluable. Their first sale is scheduled for Sunday, September 8th, and is primarily Americana themed. Learn more at
